BidForge (“BidForge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides autonomous construction estimating software. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BidForge you agree to the practices described here.

- Account data: name, email address, company, and authentication credentials.
- Project content: plans, specifications, RFPs, drawings, and other files you upload for estimation.
- Billing data: payment information processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
- Communications: messages you send to support or sales.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data, log data, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to measure product usage.
Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and local browser storage in two categories:
- Strictly necessary — the authentication session that keeps you signed in. These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off.
- Functional— local settings such as theme, language, your cookie choice, whether you've seen the product tour, and whether you're a returning visitor. These improve your experience and store no tracking identifiers.
- Analytics (non-essential, with consent): a first-party
bf_anon_idcookie (stored for up to 12 months) and product-usage events, used only to understand how the product is used and improve it. These arefirst-party and owned — no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. When you are signed in, usage events may be associated with your account, so we treat them as personal data: they fall under the access and deletion rights and the retention limits described in this policy.
On your first visit you can accept or reject non-essential cookies — both are a single click, and closing or ignoring the banner is treated as a rejection (analytics stay off). We do not sell or share your personal information(as “sell” and “share” are defined under the CCPA/CPRA), and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

- To provide, operate, and improve the BidForge estimating pipeline.
- To process project files and generate takeoffs, estimates, and proposals.
- To authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers (hosting, storage, authentication, payment processing, and analytics) acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
4. Your Project Data
Project content you upload belongs to you. We process it solely to deliver the service to you and do not use your confidential project files to train models for other customers. You may request deletion of your project content at any time.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolated processing — designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

BidForge is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you consent to processing your information in the United States.
